Emily received her BS degree in Neuroscience at the University of California Santa Cruz and then received her PhD in Developmental Biology at the University of Oregon and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She worked with her PhD advisor Dr. Chris Doe to better understand molecular mechanisms of neural circuit assembly in Drosophila. During her training, she gained experience in microscopy, genetics, and molecular biology. Emily joined cc-TDI as a postdoctoral fellow June to September 2020.
