CuRe-FAST Program

Cancer Registry for Familial and Sporadic Tumors

Did you know that you and your child could donate tumor samples to research that could lead to safer, less toxic treatments? By providing valuable tumor samples, particularly for relapsed and progressive cancers, scientists can study how cancer in some instances avoids current therapies.

Small samples of tumor can be sent to a tumor bank where scientists from around the world can access them. Donating samples has no cost to you and often no additional procedures are performed to your child. Your child’s privacy is protected as samples are de-identified and provided to scientists as only a number.

Be rewarded by knowing your child contributed to research and provided hope to other families that a cure can be achieved in our near future! To participate, please contact our Scientific Director Charles Keller, M.D. at charles@cc-tdi.org. CuRe-FAST is supported by a community crowdfunding project and described in more detail here.

If you are a RESEARCHER interested in receiving de-identified samples collected by the CuReFAST program (from cc-TDI, from the BioPathology Center or by way of the JAX patient-derived xenograft program, please email charles@cc-tdi.org with your inquiry.  We’ve shared thousands of samples already and are here to help you in your research.

This program is supported by the Sam Day Foundation, and our capacity is augmented significantly by the Childhood Cancer Project.
