Amy Meiners

Board of Directors Emeritus - Partner, Cumberland Consulting Group

Amy is a seasoned technology executive with over 15 years of consulting experience. Amy started her management consulting career at Computer Science Corporation. After working on a project at a pediatric hospital, Amy found her calling and decided to focus solely on the healthcare industry. In 2005 Amy joined Cumberland Consulting Group based out of Nashville, TN and is now a partner with the firm. She enjoys working with clients to introduce new technology and transforming the delivery of patient care across the country. Her clients range from community hospitals to national healthcare systems in the acute, ambulatory and PALTC space.

Amy became a passionate childhood and young adult cancer advocate after her beloved husband, Matthew, was diagnosed with stage IV alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma in 2007 at the age of 29. Throughout his 8 year-long battle with cancer, Amy was his primary caregiver and patient advocate. Determined to learn everything she could about this horrible disease, Amy became an active member of the research community. She explored every cutting edge option to save her best friend’s life. Throughout their journey, Matthew and Amy experienced the up’s and down’s of fighting cancer which included triumphant periods of remission as well as heartbreaking relapses. Matthew earned his angel wings on July 13, 2015. He fought courageously until the very end and always challenged his clinical team to push the scientific envelope with the hopes of finding a cure. Amy is honored to be a member of the CC-TDI Board. She will proudly carry the torch in Matthew’s memory and share his legacy with anyone who will listen.

Amy’s focus as a CC-TDI Board Member:

As a member of the Executive Board of Directors, Amy will ensure that CC-TDI’s scientific initiatives are in line and stay true to the population for which it serves by representing the children and young adults fighting cancer and their families.
