Dr. Kemal Sonmez works on computational biology and machine learning, focusing on how building models on large datasets of patient records, public health studies, imaging, genomics, and cancer biology can inform risk prediction for early detection of cancer at population scales. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland and has done postdoctoral work in computational biology at Brown University.
