Panobinostat Trial Opens for DIPG

Details of this Phase I trial can be found here.  This clinical trial came from a community-funded effort of more than a dozen laboratories worldwide, in a project coordinated by the Keller laboratory through Charles’ role as co-chair of the CNS-DVL committee of the Children’s Oncology Group.  For the entire history of this ‘from scratch” open science project that began in November 2011, see the weekly blog here.  The resulting studies were published May 2015 in Nature Medicine and highlighted by the NCI Director in his blog.  We are grateful to the families whose Legacy Gifts of tissue made these studies possible.           Stay tuned for additional results of the DIPG Preclinical Consortium we hope to make public (publish) soon.
