Meet Summer Intern, Angelina Shao!

Meet Angelina Shao! Angelina is also part of our amazing cancer-fighting crew. Everyone in our lab is focused on making childhood cancers universally survivable as a team. We are so happy to have Angelina part of our team. Read more about Angelina!

I am a sophomore at the University of Southern California studying quantitative biology. I am interested in pediatric cancer because, as children have less extraneous factors that may affect their health, treatments to children with pediatric cancer can be much more consistent and hopefully more effective. In addition, children are young and resilient and have a long life ahead of them once they are able to be treated. Although I have not been personally affected by pediatric cancer, I want to be a part of this journey to understanding pediatric cancers and helping the children who are affected.
