Michael Lin (B.A. Biochemistry from U.C. Berkeley; J.D. from Boston University; Ohio Bar; USPTO Bar) was such a terrible bench chemist that he had to become a lawyer. Michael worked at Procter & Gamble Japan (1997-2007), and P&G Beijing (2007-10). Before leaving P&G, Michael managed the Asia patent matters for Oral Care, Pet Care, Snacks & Beverages, and Fabric and Home Care business units.
Since 2010, Michael has worked at Marks & Clerk Hong Kong as the head of their Chem-BioSciences group. He handles patent preparation & prosecution, opinion work and client counseling.
Michael is a board member of IIPCC, a Council Member and Secretary of LES China-Hong Kong, an INTIPSA Fellow, etc. Michael is listed in IAM’s Patent 1000 (2015-18), MIP’s IP Star (2014-18), IAM’s Strategy 300 (2015-18), and other publications. Michael publishes articles, speaks at schools and conventions, and actively mentors students and others.
