Leah is a Laboratory Research Aide at Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute and mainly assists Dr. Jinah Kim. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Molecular Biology from California State University, Monterey Bay. Due to the pandemic, Leah deferred from the University of Michigan where she eventually intends to complete a graduate degree in environmental health and toxicology (potentially pursuing a medical degree). Leah loves the daily challenges research presents and has acquired over 3 years of research experience in a variety of labs, including: an immunology lab, a molecular genetics lab, a plant pathology lab. When Leah isn’t in the lab, you can find her outdoors or practicing a new hobby including her ascent up Mt. Hood June 2021.
