The second annual Mello Signs Charity Golf Classic is back for another year of golf, fellowship and prizes! This year’s tournament, set for Monday, September 18th at Diamond Oaks Country Club in Fort Worth Texas, is already off to an amazing start and will not disappoint!
The inspiration for the Mello Signs Charity Golf Classic was born from Joe Mello’s personal experience witnessing his sister Kristin battle a rare and under-researched cancer. In 2016, Kristin was diagnosed with Epithelioid Sarcoma (EPS), an aggressive form of cancer. EPS is often treatable, however at times not curable if complete surgery is not possible.
Kristin has made a strong recovery and now aims to leave a lasting impact on organizations like the Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute (cc-TDI), one of the few specifically laboratories dedicated to researching EPS. The Mello Signs team is proud to help carry the torch and support research at cc-TDI so that those coming after Kristin have more options.
Last year, the Mello Signs Charity Golf Classic was pleased to donate $16,500 to EPS research at cc-TDI thanks to the generosity from participants, vendors and community partners. Even despite weather challenges, the 2022 tournament pushed through with much success, exceeding their anticipated first year fundraising goal! Your participation means so much to the Mello Signs team and to the EPS research mission at cc-TDI. We hope to see you on the 18th!
